Preschool
A joyful foundation for learning through Spanish.
Young learners build early language, literacy, mathematical thinking, curiosity, and classroom confidence through purposeful play, conversation, movement, stories, and hands-on experiences.
Kindergarten
Building the academic and language foundation.
Students develop foundational literacy, mathematical reasoning, scientific curiosity, and an understanding of people and communities while learning and communicating through Spanish.
Phonological awareness, syllables, early reading, vocabulary, comprehension, and beginning writing.
1st Grade
Developing confident readers, writers, and thinkers.
Students strengthen literacy and written expression while developing mathematical reasoning, scientific thinking, and knowledge of communities, geography, and the world around them through Spanish.
Reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, written expression, and communication.
2nd Grade
Advancing literacy, knowledge, and academic independence.

What is the Spanish Immersion Academy?
The Spanish Immersion Academy is a live, virtual learning experience where students learn through Spanish—not simply about Spanish. Families can choose from grade-level academic programs, Spanish electives, and social clubs to create a learning pathway that supports their child’s language development, academic growth, and interests.
Does my child need to already speak Spanish?
Not necessarily. Prior Spanish exposure can be helpful, but students do not need to be fluent to participate. The best starting point depends on the learner’s current Spanish experience, academic level, and comfort learning through immersion. Our team is happy to help families determine an appropriate pathway.
How are the grade-level programs structured?
Our grade-level pathways are designed around developmentally appropriate academic learning. Beginning in Kindergarten, students can engage with Spanish Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies through Spanish.
Preschool provides an early-learning foundation through language, literacy, early math, discovery, movement, and purposeful play.
Is this a Spanish class or an academic program taught in Spanish?
The Academy goes beyond traditional language instruction. Students use Spanish as a language for learning across academic subjects and enrichment experiences. This allows students to develop their Spanish while also building knowledge, academic skills, and confidence.
How do I choose the right grade level or program?
Grade level is an important starting point, but we also consider a learner’s previous Spanish exposure and academic readiness. Families who are unsure where to begin are welcome to contact our team for guidance before enrolling.
Can my child participate in more than one Academy program?
Yes. Families can build an experience that fits their goals. A student may participate in a grade-level academic program and add compatible Spanish electives or social clubs for additional opportunities to learn, communicate, explore interests, and connect through Spanish.
Are all Spanish Immersion Academy classes virtual?
Yes. The Spanish Immersion Academy is a fully virtual program. Classes are taught live online, allowing students to participate from home while learning alongside their teacher and classmates in an interactive small-group environment.
What are Spanish Electives and Social Clubs?
Spanish Electives expand learning beyond the core academic program through additional subjects and interests. Social Clubs provide opportunities for students to communicate, collaborate, build friendships, and use Spanish in a more social setting.
Because these experiences may serve compatible learning levels, they are not always limited to a single grade.
What if we do not speak Spanish at home?
Families do not need to speak Spanish at home for their child to participate. Consistent attendance and encouragement are especially valuable, and our team provides communication and resources to help families support the learning experience.
What technology does my child need?
Students need a reliable internet connection and a device that supports live online classes, including a working camera and microphone. Individual programs may also use simple learning materials such as paper, pencils, a whiteboard, printed resources, or hands-on materials.
What happens if my child misses a class?
Because continuity is important in immersion learning, regular attendance is encouraged. Options following an absence may vary by program and enrollment platform, so families should review the policies associated with their specific class or contact our team for assistance.
