Learn to Speak Spanish is a live, interactive beginner Spanish class delivered through Zoom.

• ⏰ Class length: 30 minutes

• 👧🧒 Group size: Small group (2–7 learners)

• 📅 Class frequency: 2x per week (ongoing)

• 🗣️ Language: Spanish-forward with English support as needed

Instruction is primarily in Spanish, with clear English support to help beginner learners understand directions, build confidence, and stay engaged.

Classes are play-based and interactive, focusing on speaking and listening through songs, movement, games, visuals, and repetition.
At times, learners may also engage in light hands-on activities, such as simple drawing, coloring, tracing, or other age-appropriate activities using everyday materials—always optional and guided.

The goal is natural language development in a joyful, low-pressure environment—not formal reading or writing instruction.

This class is specifically designed for children who are brand new to Spanish or have very little exposure.

No prior Spanish experience is required. English support is used when helpful to ensure students feel confident, comfortable, and supported.

Children learn Spanish through natural language acquisition, meaning they build understanding and speaking skills by:

• Listening to Spanish in meaningful, everyday contexts

• Participating in guided conversation and repetition

• Using movement, songs, visuals, and games

• Practicing simple words and phrases in a fun, low-pressure way

This class is ideal for families looking for a gentle, joyful introduction to Spanish that builds confidence and a love for the language from day one.

To help families feel prepared and confident, weekly themes are shared in advance and posted in multiple places.

Here’s how it works:

• Weekly themes are posted on the website and listed in the class topics section

• Families receive the upcoming theme via class announcement one week before class

• If a family enrolls after the Sunday before a new week, the theme information is sent within 24 hours of registration

This ensures families always know what vocabulary and topics are coming up—no surprises.

✨ Themes may occasionally shift slightly based on student needs or holidays, but families are always notified in advance.

Your child’s comfort and success are our top priority.

Because this class is designed for preschool and kindergarten learners, we ask that a trusted caregiving adult is nearby during class to provide gentle support if needed.

An adult may assist off-camera with:

• Helping your child log in or stay focused

• Supporting participation during songs, movement, or games

• Assisting with occasional hands-on activities (drawing, coloring, or simple crafts)

• Offering encouragement if your child feels shy or needs reassurance

Adults do not need to sit with the child for the entire class, but should be close enough to help when needed.

Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming learning environment where all children feel supported, respected, and confident as they explore Spanish.

Classes meet live on Zoom.

To help ensure a safe and secure learning environment, families receive the private Zoom link one day before class via class announcements and email.

How it works:

• 🗓️ Weekly class announcements (including the upcoming theme and reminders) are sent one week before class

• 🔗 The Zoom link is sent one day before class to enrolled families

• This helps ensure only registered learners have access to class

Late enrollment information (please read):

• If you enroll within 24 hours of class, we will still send you the Zoom link as soon as possible

• If a learner enrolls only a few hours before class, we will do our best to send the link, but delivery may be delayed

• Enroll at least 6 hours before class to avoid any access issues

Please note:

• The Zoom link is for the enrolled learner only

• Links should not be shared

• Class access is limited to ensure safety and a high-quality small-group experience

If you ever have trouble locating your link, simply reach out — we’re happy to help!

This is a live, interactive, speaking-based Spanish class. From time to time, learners may be invited to participate using the teacher’s on-screen whiteboard for guided activities such as drawing, matching, or pointing to answers.

To support our youngest learners:

• A supportive adult should be nearby, especially during the first few classes

• Adults may help learners navigate tools or understand directions if needed

• Learners are asked to use the on-screen whiteboard only when guided by the teacher

The whiteboard is used intentionally to support:

• Vocabulary practice

• Listening and comprehension

• Guided games and playful interaction

With clear routines and repetition, most children quickly become comfortable and confident participating independently.

Our goal is to create a positive, focused, and supportive learning environment where children feel successful while learning to speak Spanish.

Yes! You can manage your subscription directly from the platform.

📅 Important Billing Reminder:

• Subscriptions are charged on Sundays prior to your class

• Please pause, cancel, or stop your subscription before Sunday at 12:00 PM (CST) to avoid being charged for the upcoming week

After this time, charges cannot be reversed and will be applied to the following week.

• Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time

• No refunds are provided for past charges

• Payments may be refunded within 24 hours of purchase only

Because each class holds a dedicated spot reserved specifically for your child, refunds cannot be offered for:

• Missed classes

• Student no-shows

Each session is carefully planned with every learner in mind, and reserved spots cannot be filled once held. Thank you for understanding and valuing this commitment.

🔄 Transfer Policy

• Transfer requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance

• Transfers apply to ongoing classes only

• Transfers are not guaranteed and are subject to:

  • Availability of another class time that same week, and

  • Open space in the requested class section

• Learner’s full name

• Current class name and current day/time enrolled

• The day and time you are requesting to transfer to

• The specific week/date you are requesting the transfer for

If you would like your child moved back to their original section after a transfer, a separate request must be submitted.

👉 Important: Missed classes (no-shows) cannot be transferred to future weeks.

👤 Enrollment & Attendance

• Only the enrolled learner may attend class.

• Siblings, friends, or other family members may not appear on screen or participate unless they are officially enrolled.

• Learners must enter the Zoom meeting using:

  • The learner’s full name or

  • The enrolling parent’s name

• Learners using unknown or mismatched names cannot be admitted for safety reasons.

• Cameras must be turned on before the start of class for attendance and safety verification.

• Once verification is complete, cameras may be turned off if preferred.

• This verification is required for participation.

If a learner cannot be visually verified:

• The learner will be removed from class

• The class will not be refunded

By enrolling, families agree to this safety verification requirement.

• Learners must have a working microphone to participate.

• Families are responsible for ensuring all technology is working before class begins.

• The teacher may attempt brief troubleshooting, but extended technical support during class is not possible.

• The class will continue even if technical issues arise for an individual learner (to respect the other learners' learning time).

• • Teachers must remain focused on instruction and supporting learners during class time.

  • Real-time messaging with families during class may be limited or unavailable.

  📩 Response Time

  • Messages sent outside of class will be responded to by the teacher or our team within 24 hours.

  • We always aim to respond as soon as possible, but please note that our teachers often teach multiple classes throughout the day and may not be able to respond immediately.

  To ensure we can serve all families thoughtfully and with care, we kindly ask that families review and understand this communication policy before enrolling.

This is an ongoing, flexible class, and learners may join or pause at any time.

Weekly themes are designed to stand alone, and vocabulary is gently recycled so children can rejoin confidently even after a missed class. While regular attendance helps build confidence and familiarity, missing a class will not prevent your child from continuing successfully.

We always recommend consistent practice for the best experience, but families do not need to worry about “falling behind.”

Yes! This is an ongoing enrollment class, and learners may join at any point during the year.

Because themes repeat and language is reinforced through songs, routines, and conversation, new learners are welcomed smoothly at any time. No prior Spanish experience is required to begin.
