Bubble Dough Science in Spanish: A Hands-On Learning Activity for Kids

At Angie’s Bilingual Class, learning doesn’t happen sitting still—it happens through movement, exploration, and meaningful play.

This week, our students became little scientists as we created bubble dough… all while learning completely in Spanish 💫

What may look like simple play is actually powerful learning:

✔️ Language development
✔️ Science exploration
✔️ Sensory play
✔️ Confidence building

🌎 Full Spanish Immersion in Action

During this activity, students weren’t just following steps—they were:

🗣️ Listening in Spanish
🧠 Making predictions (hipótesis)
👀 Observing changes
💬 Describing what they feel

This is how language sticks—through real experiences.

🧠 What Did We Learn?

We explored cambios físicos (physical changes).

As we mixed our ingredients, students noticed:

👉 The texture changed
👉 The form changed
👉 But it didn’t become something completely new

💬 No está duro… no es líquido… está en medio…
¡Es semisólido!
